CWG Library Item No. 278

Master the techniques of veneering with this complete workshop. Try veneer rather than solid wood to save time and money, create designs that would otherwise be impractical, and achieve special effects.
Build a solid grounding in the basics. Use the right tool for the right situation, from linoleum knives and veener saws to punches and edge scribes. Prepare, cut, and strenghten veneer; select substrate to apply it to, such as solid wood and man-made boards; and apply bonding adhesives so that the joints and borders are secure. Even add an attractive finish with laquer, and shellac and varnish. Then improve your skills on five handsome projects.
